Exploring Mid-Century Modernism through Digital Tools
This project introduced the use of Rhino 7 and Unreal Engine to digitally reconstruct Robin Boyd’s iconic Walkley House, a mid-century modern gem in North Adelaide. Following a guided tour of the house, original plans were provided to inform the creation of a detailed 3D model in Rhino 7.
The completed model was imported into Unreal Engine, where materials were applied to produce a video walkthrough and high-quality rendered images for a promotional brochure.
This exercise emphasized precision, materiality, and the interplay between physical and digital representation, celebrating the architectural legacy of Robin Boyd.
